Springtails naturally feed on fungi found on decaying plant material. While cultures can be maintained using foods such as fish flakes, boiled rice, or mushrooms, these options can create excess waste and make feeding difficult to manage. ProRep Springtail Food offers a clean, simple, and effective alternative.

Made from denatured and stabilised yeast, this specially formulated food provides all the essential nutrients needed to maintain healthy and productive springtail cultures. Easy to use and completely waste-free, it helps keep cultures clean while offering a long shelf life.

To feed, simply sprinkle enough food onto the culture medium every 2–3 days to sustain the springtails for around 12 hours. The food is consumed entirely, eliminating the need to remove leftovers or decaying matter. This helps reduce contamination, prolong culture life, and minimise the risk of cultures crashing due to harmful conditions.
