API Pimafix: plant based antifungal remedy for aquarium fish

API Pimafix treats fungal and bacterial infections in freshwater and saltwater fish, including delicate species such as tetras, discus fry and scaleless fish like clown loaches. Its natural formula is derived from the West Indian Bay Tree (Pimenta racemosa), so it is gentle on your fish and your tank. Available in 118ml and 237ml bottles.

Why Choose API Pimafix?

  • Treats fungus: for cottony growths on the mouth, body and fins, and reddened fins and body.
  • Bacterial infections too: also used against internal and external bacterial infections common after injury or stress.
  • Freshwater and saltwater: suitable for both, and safe for reef tanks.
  • Tank friendly: will not harm the biological filter or invertebrates such as corals and anemones, and does not alter pH.
  • Natural formula: plant derived, from the extract of the West Indian Bay Tree.
  • Works with Melafix: can be used alongside API Melafix for broader disease control.

Dosage

Dose Aquarium water Course
5ml 38 litres (10 US gallons) Daily for 7 days

How to Use

  1. Remove activated carbon from the filter, if possible.
  2. Turn off any protein skimmer and UV steriliser during treatment.
  3. Add 5ml per 38 litres of aquarium water, daily for 7 days.
  4. After 7 days, make a 25% water change. Continue treatment if necessary.

In saltwater aquariums without a filter, a slight haze may form; a 25% water change will help. Keep the cap tight. Always read the label before use and keep water quality high during treatment.
