Johnson's Poultry Mite & Lice Powder 250g: natural mite control for birds and coops

Johnson's Poultry Mite & Lice Powder is a natural, non toxic diatomaceous earth powder for use on birds and in coops. It is an absorbent drying agent that keeps bird housing clean and dry, and its natural properties cause insects to dehydrate. Effective against red mite and northern mite, which are commonly found in chicken coops, and safe to use on laying chickens.

Why Choose Johnson's Poultry Powder?

• Natural and organic: non toxic diatomaceous earth powder
• Works by dehydration: causes crawling insects to dehydrate
• Red mite and northern mite: effective against the mites most often found in chicken coops
• Absorbs moisture: creates a dry environment that discourages the damp habitats where crawling insects thrive
• Safe on layers: can be used on laying chickens
• Easy to use: sprinkle onto birds or onto areas where birds lay and live
• Made in the UK

Directions for Use

For chickens, turkeys, ducks and other poultry:

• Use early in the day so birds do not inhale powder while sleeping.
• On birds: apply carefully and evenly, avoiding the eyes, using 3g to 4g of powder per bird. Repeat weekly if necessary.
• In housing: sprinkle in coops and housing where mites breed, paying attention to corners, cracks, crevices, perches and nesting areas. Use about 30g per square metre.
• Dust baths: can also be added to dust baths.
• Avoid contact with food and water. Wearing household rubber gloves is advisable when applying.

Safety Information

• Avoid inhaling the powder and avoid contact with eyes.
• Wash hands after use. Keep away from food and drink.
• Do not store above 25°C. Store in a dry place.
• For avian use only. Keep out of reach of children.
• As a periodic preventative and in heavy infestations, treat coops, aviaries, birdrooms, cages, lofts, fittings and all cracks and crevices with a suitable insecticidal product such as Johnson's Poultry Housing Spray.
